Final Week of Fall Farm Share!

It is definitely fall at the farm!

Well, here we are at the end of our Fall Farm Share! We sure hope you have enjoyed the weekly share of abundance as much as we have enjoyed hand selecting the crops for you each week! It has been a pure joy feeding and nourishing your family this season! Thank for the opportunity!

We have kicked off our Pumpkin season with a bang! It was a great kick-off weekend with lots of folks! The cool thing was seeing everyone happy and enjoying the farm. Our hearts are definitely full when we share this magical place with people! Be sure to put the Pumpkin Patch on your fall to-do list! We will be open until October 23rd. Weekends will feature live music, food trucks, face-painting, fresh, hot donuts and of course the entire farm is open for people to wander and enjoy! So, be sure to stop by and snag a pumpkin!

What’s in the bags this week…..

Our focus with these bags were to stock you up for the rest of the fall or at least a good month or so!

  • Potatoes (Russian Banana fingerlings and red potatoes)

  • Onions (a good mix of yellow, white and red)

  • Eggplant-These plants were so prolific this season! It was amazing!

  • Garlic

  • Spaghetti Squash: the bright yellow squash. Our favorite way to enjoy them is to roast them, shred them to create the “noodles” and drizzle with olive oil, fresh chopped garlic, salt and pepper. But there are so many different ways to enjoy them, so feel free to Google ideas!

  • Pie Pumpkin: This is an organic pie pumpkin. You can definitely make a pie with it (Pumpkin Pie Recipe but check this Curry Pumpkin Soup out!! Curried Pumpkin Soup

  • Carrots: It was kinda an epic year for carrots! We have harvested almost all of them for the season which makes us so happy!

Thank you again for supporting our farm! It is because of customers like you that we are able to keep doing what we do! Your financial support allows us to work with schools and youth organizations to share our passion of agriculture. It also allows us to hire a staff of young people who want to learn how to farm and be apart of this special place. So, your support makes a difference and we are so grateful for it!

Many blessings to you and your family this fall and winter season! Be sure to follow us on social media for our monthly holiday pop markets and more fun activities through the winter!
